Luca Meola, the young and charismatic owner of Rossella, is continuing his family’s love of food by offering an unmatched authentic Italian culinary and dining experience.
'Like father like son’. Luigi Meola, Luca’s father, had brought his love for Italian food to the capital after moving from Naples in the 1960s, Luigi’s Restaurant has been offering exquisite Italian fare for three decades now and counting.
It was here, under the tutelage of his father, that Luca discovered his own passion for Italian cooking. Starting out as a waiter, then spending time doing the washing up, Luca had to bide his time before being allowed to get involved in the real action.
It was during this time, along with long summers spent in Naples where he would observe his family members harvest their olive oil and produce their salami, that he learned his trade.
Once he was deemed ready, Luca was given a chance in his father’s kitchen. And he has not turned back.
He exceeded all expectations, soon finding out, along with his proud family, that he had natural talent and flare for cooking. Together with his acumen for business, it was not long before Luca went out on his own. To the great fortune of Kentish towners, Luca has since established a little slice of Italy in the local Kentish Town area.
